Quick post for the day…

This video Just Like Emmalina is a perfect example of humor marketing and viral mareting with videos that are listed on one of the most popular video sharing sites - youtube.com.

If you haven’t investigated this field for marketing purposes you really need to catch up.� This area is explosive to say the least.� This topic will be returning to the blog at least a few times I’m sure.

So, this guy Shoemoney was up late using his friend’s “dirty perl script” as he referred to it, to send out emails letting people know that tonight’s show is going to be a discussion of marketing through forums and social networking sites.

Shoemoney’s Net Income show is definitely worth a listen and his blog is also completely bookmark-worthy.� The Shoe has a nice combination of humor and giving up some free information, that quite frankly, I’m shocked he lets out of the bag at all.

It just so happens that I’ve been working on a list of social networking sites myself. My list is a work in progress as I’m going down it discovering which are best for different niche industry markets. I’ll be building a private list with notations for future use of my own and with clients. Hope this current list is of use to anyone that stops by.

So, I was having a conversation with someone this evening about what else…making money and the internet. An example came up of some guy that makes a load of money on a gaming site and the statement was made “that lucky nerdy bastard!” While I can understand the sentiment, the first thing that came to mind, and fell out of my mouth,� was something along the lines of ‘the main difference between him and others is sheer focus’.

While there may be a lot of very skilled and talented people in the world, not all of them� find a way to materialize this into financial success. I’ve known several very wealthy people that don’t hold degrees or any highly technical knowledge but have amazing powers of focus and follow-through on projects and goals.

Of course this led to a discussion of how you need to ‘plan your work and work your plan’ and all that other fun cliche’ yack. Also it reminded me of this excerpt from the classic book “Think and Grow Rich” that I thought to be a pretty good guide or outline on how to keep and maintain focus on getting your goals materialized.

Is there a connection?

Maybe, maybe not. The one string that ties Shoemoney, 666 and Fried Green al-Qaedas is that I felt like blogging on all three topics on this amazing spring day - Tuesday, June 6th, 2006.

Shoemoney has his debut radio show on an old friend of mine’s site; webmasterradio.fm. Daron & his wife Brandy own and run webmasterradio and the latest addition to their lineup is the Net Income show hosted by the one and only Shoemoney.

The connection to 666 is that it airs today at 3pm PST.

The Fried Green al-Qaedas connection is that I found that blog today and thought it has some pretty amusing posts and wanted to share with the class.

Looks like Youtube has a humorous ‘down for maintenance or upgrades’ type of messages on thier website tonight. It’s drumming up a lot of “Youtube Got Hacked” threads on message boards, and across the interwebs.

If you don’t know who or what youtube is I’ll need to unearth your head from the sand. They’re one of the biggest, fastest growing traffic monsters online.

Anyways, I’ll get more into how to mess with them later on this blog. Right now it’s late but I just wanted to test something out and toss a post up.
