Well first off I have to say, and I’m sure I’ll hear a loud “HELL YES” in the background when I say this…

I Hate Spam.

So, why am I asking this question? Well I have a small list of clients and customers now, but am focusing more on building my customer and client base in preparation for some upcoming product & services I’ll be offering.

While doing some research on the topic I went and signed up to several marketer’s lists. And what I can see, there are three main schools of thought being applied.

I’ve been doing a lot of work lately on building information products, services & scripts for myself, a few partners & clients. One of the major ingredients to doing well in any internet marketing scenario is getting people to email their list of customers about your product or service…or having a large list yourself.

With this in mind I’ve been doing a fair share of research on this topic lately and decided to finally pickup a course from a pretty well known, legit email marketer.

Admitedly, I know quite a bit about ‘non’ legit email marketing from the pre-CAN SPAM era while having many late night discussions with some associates that were involved in the dark side of spam. That being said, I’m more of a fan of legit email marketing as I knew it’d stand the test of time and am very interested in the current ‘best practices’ methods to do this type of highly effective marketing.

I will write up a thorough and honest review of this product once I’ve gone through the material.

While I’m waiting to get the course, I’ll be setting up a script I’ve known about for quite a while located at phplist.com. It’s free and from what I’ve heard from a few very trusted sources it’s a great script to run small lists with. There are several other free email list collection & mailing scripts to be found at hotscripts.com as well.
