Well first off I have to say, and I’m sure I’ll hear a loud “HELL YES” in the background when I say this…
I Hate Spam.

So, why am I asking this question? Well I have a small list of clients and customers now, but am focusing more on building my customer and client base in preparation for some upcoming product & services I’ll be offering.
While doing some research on the topic I went and signed up to several marketer’s lists. And what I can see, there are three main schools of thought being applied.
1) Pound your list daily
** or at least a few times a week with every offer and phone interview/launch under the sun…
2) Email your list fairly often
** with a mix of plain good info and occasional product launch presentations.
and
3) Email your list only when launching a new product of your own or when someone else has something interesting going on.
Right off the bat, I can tell you that these marketers that fall into category one are beginning to make me blind to their emails from the sheer volume of it.
Are they making a ton of money? …….I’m sure of it!
Is their list as responsive as others? …….I have my doubts.
When the other marketers send me emails that fit into category 2 or 3 I am much more apt to actually read through them, even if the others had more interesting hyped-up subject lines.
** I imagine the even the circus gets boring to the people that see it daily. **
I ran across an article by Dr Joe Vitale on this very topic: How Often Should You E-mail Your List? and it brought up some interesting points.
I’ll be doing more reviews and rants on this topic down the road.
