Internet Marketing Tools

Here is a list of 'must have' items and related products that an internet marketer might need.

Affiliate management scripts. Email List Management & Delivery

1) iDevAffiliate Affiliate Script:

This product seems to be very versatile. It allows for both a % based payout and flat rate payouts. It also allows for a 2nd tier payout system which is VERY attractive in getting smaller fish to promote your affiliate program to their 'big fish' friends for a cut of the pie. I've seen this concept in action in a real world sense myself. I had someone I recommended to an affiliate program years ago that made me 4k a month in profits from 'his work'...

There are many other affiliate management scripts that I'll review and list here later. For now this is the main one recommended. They have a support ticket system inplace at idevsupport.com.

No matter what script set you buy to manage your affiliate program make sure the following 4 items are covered:

1) Payout by % or Flat Rate capable
2) Ability to payout 2nd tier cut (eg. 10% cut for those affiliates referred)
3) Ease of integrating several payment systems (paypal, 2co, etc)
4) Nice admin panel for affiliates to log in and check stats
5) SEO Friendly URLS !!!

If none of that makes sense feel free to contact me for some consulting time and I'll be happy to explain in more detail.

Online Payment Solutions:

1) Paypal: Obviously accepted by many and has become a 'standard' in accepting payments online.

Sign up for PayPal and start accepting credit card payments instantly.

2) Epassporte: Although this one is less known and lately a tad on the risky side due to them still supporting a few sites that allow gambling...they ARE a foreign corporation that is based in the Dutch Antilles. The utility in using them as a funding source is that many foreigners that can't get paypal accounts use them. So as long as your business is legit -- use them. It's another solution for billing. They offer an ATM card for fund withdrawls at your local ATM machines and also a "Virtual Visa" for online CC purchasing.

3) E-gold: This has got to be one of the most interesting payment systems I've seen online. Here is a FAQ for them that has the obvious question...how do you pull your money out of the system? Here's their solution:

"a growing number of independent exchange service around the world support exchange between various national currencies and e-gold, accepting remittances via credit card, bank wire, check, money order, Western Union, PayPal, eMoneyMail, and others."

4) 2000charge: This one is great for those of you that have customers in Asia or parts of the EU where recognizable credit cards are not common but other forms of currency are. There is a lot of money floating around outside of the Visa / Mastercard realms. This can help you tap into that market. Did I mention there is no setup fee and no monthly fee for this service!? You'd be nuts not to set it up.

5) 2checkout: Seen a lot, cheap fast setup (50 dollars or so) but definitely check out their Accepted Products but more importantly the Prohibited Products.

6) 1shoppingcart: Has a monthly fee to use but the upside is a nicely integrated email management/autoresponder system.

7) Netbilling: For those that want to setup a merchant account.

Shopping Cart Systems:

1) osCommerce: A free, open source shopping cart system that has some SEO friendly URL hacks that can be setup for your site.

2) Zencart: Another free open source shopping cart system that a buddy of mine (programmer) said "rocked"...worth checking out!

1) Autoresponder Plus:

If you're a control freak like myself and like to have full control over your list, delivery, etc and don't mind hosting this on your own server then this is "THE" way to go.

** Another reason I recommend autoresponse plus is that some very big names in the Internet Marketing field (Matt Bacak, and others) have personally recommended this and they're well known for their list size/prowess.

2) Getresponse:

If you're not sure about how solid your hosting is or are nervous about email compliance issues then you can go by way of a 3rd party system. There are two that are industry standards: Getresponse and Aweber. The reason I suggest getresponse over aweber is that they let you purchase leads directly from them. See this link:

3) Aweber:

The other industry standard for email delivery. This way you have to build a load of lead capture pages and get a lot of traffic by way of joint ventures, PPC, article marketing, etc. No direct way to import leads that we're aware of at this time, nor do they offer lead purchasing from their system either.

Here's a nice audio by the CEO of aweber (Tom Kulzer) and some other guru (John Jantsch) about list building.

After you're done, and if you decided to go with thier service signup here.

4) Free Email Autoresponder:

Infinite Responder offers a totally free open source/GPL auto responder script set. I've not tested this out but the features on it look great! And since it's open source if you need a programmer to do some custom hacks on it it'll be much easier than a closed or 3rd party system to 'make it happen.'

5) *** Free ezinecheck.com is down so to make sure the text you're writing doesn't get caught by overly aggressive spam filters use this tool.

Where to buy Email Leads:
(or co-reg records)

1) Permission Direct
2) Nitro List Builder
3) List Builder Pro
4) List Opt
5) Traffic Oasis

If you have any others tested or know, feel free to contact me and I'll pass the information along here. I'll be looking to post reviews of each of the services above in the very near future.

I was told that this is a very useful resource on the topic of co-reg with the full run down on how to utilize this market and some specific reviews on different lead sources. I've not picked it up yet but would consider it at some point.
